Having a fair number of miles on my Triumph Tiger back in '72, I can attest to the "Prince of Darkness" title awarded to Lucas.  Then some friends started acquiring the Honda four's which had pistons smaller than eggs but they ran well, didn't leak like our BSA, Norton, Triumph stable.  I think it was downhill for Birmhingham/Coventry manufacturing after that in the UK.   Thank you for the reminder as I am changing out lights in the Legacy today for some HID.
