My name is Brian Brown, I am assisting the Joliet Regional Airport and
Lancair owner/builder Doug McAllister organize the 2nd annual Lancair
Fly-in
and race in Joliet Illinois this Aug 25-27th.
I was copyed on an email sent to the Lancair list Website regarding the
cost
for registration of this event. If you are aware of this I first would like
to extend my apologies for any miscommunication regarding this issue. Our
plan is to produce a first class event for Lancair owners.
Last years event was an impromptu event put together by Doug of which he
spent a lot of his own money to put together. This year we wantd to make
the
event bigger and better and have added a 300 mile race for 4 catagories of
Lancair aircraft. The winners of each race would receive a CASH prize. The
fee was designed to cover the cost of the prize $ as well as 3 scheduled
meal
functions, lunch, dinner banquet and Sunday pancake breakfast. Any residual
dollars would be forwarded to Joliet Park District Foundation a
not-for-profit organization, Joliet Park District owns and manages the
airport.
Can you help us, through your site, to clarify our information for this
event? We would like to see as much participation as possible. A mailing to
over 400 builders and owners was sent out several weeks ago and we need to
reach these people again very quickly.
