It's hard to give up on displays that cost = over $20,000 each especially if there is chance to get them updated. They = were working when we pulled them out of the panel and don't have budget for = new displays, at least not for awhile. Investigating the best way to get = them updated. Would be very interested in speaking with any owners. =20 We are about to put them back into our panel after 3.5 years of rebuild = time on a Lancair IVPT. I've heard that the displays with the LCF are over taxing the power supply and eventually reboot or shut down. Not good. Since these displays are out of production and are not really being supported, I'm trying to ascertain if I'm chasing a lost cause in trying = to get the company to do a retrofit which they have designed which will put = in much brighter and less power consuming LED lighting, but could cost us = $3-5K to have done and there is no continuing software updates from my understanding. This may still be cheaper than new displays, but I'm really disappointed that the acquiring company (Aerosonic) appears to be wringing their = hands in terms of standing by this product which were over $20K per unit.
