There have been many mount cracks found in the ES and IV's. If you go to the yahoo groups Lancair_ES, you will find many photos of the cracks, fixes and additional supports. The original engine mount is not strong enough. The later mounts from Lancair have some additional gussets added, but not all that is needed for a proper fix.

Have any of you had a IV-P engine mount fail? I remember seeing someone that added gussets to the front dynafocal area after it cracked.
Recently had one fail causing nose gear collapse and a low RPM prop strike. Anyone with photo's of failure in that are please let me know
asap. The pictures would help a lot.
