In 120 hours commencing last September, I had a need to defog the windshield 1 time during taxi-out.  I had no defrost installed and wiped the windshield.  The fog went away during the takeoff roll with cold air blasting in the side inlets and wafting around the cabin.

I live in Texas and was a mild winter, but I presume that flights at night and in colder climates could encounter fogging.

10-15 flight hours in precipitation at altitudes up to 12,000 feet and cold temps have not caused any problems.

I finally got the cabin heat / defrost installed last week but haven't had a need for it yet.
