I need to know if= anybody is flying the 68" blades with a modify 200+ HP 360. Hartzel's webs= ite states the prop with the 68" blades is for the 180 hp 360. They have th= e 200hp with 72" blades. I have talked to Hartzell and they say the prop is= good to 300hp as you have mention and they dought that the prop is on the = stops. My governor is new old stock. I am trying to avoid removing and send= ing in the governor for OH until I know for certain it is the governor or t= he prop is on the stops.(I don't want to fix what is not broken) If I pull = the power back to match a 180 hp 360 I have no problem pulling the prop bac= k to slower RPM's.=20 Today I flew to Durango Colorado with a Legacy at 17,500. I was able to pul= l 16.5 " MP WOT and 2300 rpm is all I could bring the prop back to. When I = flew to Sun-in-fun in March I cruised at 17,500 I had to pull back to 14" = to get the prop rpm's down to 2000, I did not try that today as I was pushi= ng to keep up with the Leagcy. So I was hoping there is another 360 with a 200+HP with the 68" blades that= can comment on his rpm control at high altitude? I have no problem at lowe= r altitudes.
