Dear subscribers,
I did my gear check for the annual inspection yesterday. I had the cabin
pressure control valve in the back for the pressurization removed to
inspect the flap cylinder. I did not pay attention and the cable with
the connector that runs to the outflow valve got caught in the gear rack
during the gear cycle. Minor disaster: sheet metal bracket for the gear
switch is bent; angle bracket on the rod that actuates the switch is
broken, the connector plug going into the dukes heavily deformed.
Does anybody have a spare connector that goes into the Dukes outflow
valve? - I am going to check with Lancair as soon as they wake up.
Someone told me once: there is more damage created by improper
maintenance than what it helps in order to prevent upcoming damages....
Thanks for your help
Ralf
