Bill, I tacked mine down with white silicone caulk every foot or so, but this was a messy approach (that worked), I'd be looking for another way if I were to repeat the process. Also, the paint guys took one look at any silicone that I had on the airplane, shook their heads and clucked, and said (a) it's bad for paint, outgases nasty stuff that makes paint bubble and (b) it's never fully cured and the outgassing never stops. Also, it's really hard to ever get it off if you want to.
