Forgot to mention an anomaly... my 4-yr.old Osyssey 625 was found dead in the hangar with its Odyssey Optimizer attached and the red check light on.  Tester would not resume charging.  Nothing had been left on in the plane.  Removed the battery and repeatedly tested it isolated:  meter read 116 volts!!
Called Odyssey -- they were baffled by the high voltage.  I installed a new 625.
Then put a 50 yr. old Sears trickle charger 14 vdc on the dead Odyssey, and it slowly came back up, over about 4 days, and is now holding 13.01 - 12.98 vdc.
Anyone have a similar experience?

Terrence

Hmmmmm...... Maybe this is just for LNC2's.

I have used the B&C, model # BC110-1 for years (these are Odyssey-like).  One of the original ones from the late nineties is still in use on a generator with an electric starter.  I have several still good ones lying around since I put a new one in every three or four years. Here's how it all works for me.
