Folks

I am about to change tires on my LNC2   I am currently running 4 ply McCreary 5.00x5 on the mains which have taken about 160 landings.  I  would be grateful for any input from anyone on the following:

I am considering going to the 8 ply 11x4 5 Aero Classics from Desser.  If I do this what changes in handling am I likely to experience?  

I often fly close to gross, given this fact am I better off staying with the larger tire? 

I would be interested in hearing from folks who have had success from other brands with respect to wear and handling.
