It's sufficiently accurate that when I cross the = runway threshold and fly over the numbers, I see the numbers flashing by = on the PFD at the same time. It also shows traffic (via the Traffic = Information Service uplinked on Mode S -- in major terminal areas only) = without a TCAS; you see a diamond on the PFD where the traffic should = be, and it turns into a yellow ball if it gets close. It shows = obstacles, hills, and bodies of water. Of course there's no actual vision so if the lake is dry or someone put = a crane in your way (and it's not in the database), that sort of thing = doesn't show. I've seen numbers between $50K and $100K for G900 systems installed in = Lancairs. When Chelton stopped building its Sport system, I opted for Garmin on = the theory that Garmin will be around for a long time. I really = wondered if all that glass is overkill but, having tried it, I would = definitely recommend it for anyone interested in hard IFR. It's = excellent.
