did the yellowstone snowmobileing trip around 15 years ago. awesome! stayed at the employees old faithful lodge for a night. wish we had planned more time for some amazing cross country skiing. have a great time. can't join you this time.

Ok - not directly related to flying, but everyone always asks "when is my
Lancair project going to be done" and "what/how are you doing."
Well, life has many distractions, and living in Michigan, we have other ways
of having fun too, but rumor has it there's even more snow in Yellowstone
this time of year.
So, a friend and I are headed to Yellowstone (and Big Sky) for a few days of
snowmobile'ing and skiing in late February (details & links below).
If any other Lancair folk are also snowmobilers and/or interested in joining
and/or overlapping with our trip we'd welcome a potentially expanded group.

Thurs Feb 23rd, - PM Departure Detroit to Bozeman, Transfer/Drive to West
Yellowstone.
Lodging at Three Bears Lodge (West Yellowstone) - Thurs, Fri, Sat
Fri Feb 24th - Guided Snowmobile Tour into Yellowstone (Grand Canyon area)
Sat Feb 25th - Unguided Snowmobiling in West Yellowstone area (national
forest/mountain trails outside the park)
Sun Feb 26th - Options: more Snowmobiling or relocate to Big Sky for skiing
(Lodging TBD)
Mon Feb 27th - Sking at Big Sky Montana
Tues Feb 28th - Flight Home
