The intercooler mounted on the front of the engine that is exposed to direct airflow has become pretty well closed off after 1800 hours of use. The small fins have bent due to the occasional rain shower and meaty bug so the airflow thru it is not so good anymore. it's not a major problem but Arizona heat means I need all of the cooling efficiency I can get.
My question is, do they make a more robust replacement? Are there any tricks out there to keep it flowing nicely? I have spent some time with a toothpick trying to bend the fins back to normal, but this doesn't last more than a flight. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
