If you do run 38.5" MP on takeoff, then you will need much more fuel flow than the 42.x gph TCM recommondations and should be closer to 50gph. (if you indeed have the higher compression pistons). A standard TSIO550 has 7.5:1 pistons. I never ran the engine this high, I think never higher as 37. After all the= issues that happened with the engine I had it checked out and set it back t= o standard manifold max @ 38.5, RPM max 2700, FF=3D42.

Now I do not have this plane anymore (Velocity), but I made sure the engin= e was good when I sold it. I do not want to get someone in problems because = of this engine.

We do not know the cause, it is already bad enough that it did on a so
called rebuilt engine with superior parts.......yeah right (my opinion)

When I finally had someone on the phone, he told me that the bolts must
have had a gas bubble in it.....sure...and micky mouse lives in Orlando LOL=

You can see I am really upset with them, so I better shut my mouth, but if =
someone is asking I will talk and telling them my opinion.

If you already purchased an engine from them, go to a real shop and let
them take the engine apart LOL The 4p or the legacy are no planes to have
a failing engine on. (unless you are carrying a parachute LOL)
