If you do run 38.5" MP on takeoff, then you will need much more fuel flow than the 42.x gph TCM recommondations and should be closer to 50gph. (if you indeed have the higher compression pistons). A standard TSIO550 has 7.5:1 pistons. If you already purchased an engine from them, go to a real shop and let them take the engine apart LOL The 4p or the legacy are no planes to have a failing engine on.
