For Frontis Newell re: Batteries, Alternators, Regulators---

Everything you need can be had at B&C Specialties out of Wichita, KS. They
are not on the internet, but you can call for a catalog at:

(316) 283-8000 [Off some old literature. Can somebody verify it's still
good?]

To educate yourself on modern homebuilt aircraft electrical systems, you
will also want to get hooked up with Bob Nuckolls' Aeroelectric Connection at:

http://www.aeroelectric.com/

I suggest that you order his loose-leaf book, "The Aeroelectric Connection"
for about $50. It's worth it's weight in gold, IMO.

I'm using a recombinant gas battery (about $125) from B&C and it cranks the
p*ss out of my high-compression O-290 engine. I also am using the B&C LR-2
linear voltage regulator with built-in overvoltage protection and
low-voltage warning light. It works well, too.
