Hi Gents,

I am working on a Legacy transition syllabus for a friend.  We are looking for engine out data to help with the simulations for training.  Specifically I would appreciate Rate of Descent data for the following situations.

1)       Engine out prop feathered (prop pulled with oil remaining)  Rate of Descent at 135 kts.

2)      Engine out Prop not feathered (loss of all oil)  Rate of Descent at 135 kts

3)      Simulation of #1 above?  Idle engine partial flaps speedbrakes out, etc?  What do you use?

4)      Simulation of #2 above ?

And for what it’s worth, I use 800 and 1500 fpm on the 360 at 100 kts for items 1 and 2.  Engine idle requiring 10 and 20 flaps respectively.

Finally, Does a  Emergency Landing Pattern of 3000 Ft agl work well at 135 kts.  Ie. High Key 3K, Low Key 1500 AGL?

We would greatly appreciate the inputs of those Legacy experts who have gone before us in this area.

Thanks,

Larry Henney
