Foggy memory time: (Meaning, it's been a while.) Anodizing can provide
an excellent bonding surface but you MUST specify that you are using it
for bonding so that the anodizer doesn't seal the surface. They seal it
by immersing it in water. If left unsealed they should return the part
in a container with dessicant keeping moisture from the part. This also
means that you should be ready to bond the part immediately after
anodizing because the part is immensely hygroscopic and will self seal
in days if left open and eventually even if sealed in a bag.
