on the subject of landing lights:

I saw a modification for landing lights that were projector lamps mounted to
the gear legs. I got some 12 volt/ 50 watt track/projector lights that you
can get at all the hardware stores. they don't look like outdoor use type
lights. I had read about people using these type of lights successfully.
has anyone;
-used these and are they pleased with them?
-how do they last on hard landings and wet weather?
-where can you get receptacles and brackets for these lights?
-do you need to seal the lamps?
