(If anyone with Terra has scratchy sidetone, low volume or "blanking" after transmission, I might be able to help...) I'm back on a testing schedule with a dozen hours in the last ten days. There is so much wisdom here regarding cooling, or lack thereof, let me ask how others handle shock cooling. I have the Electronics International CHT & EGT monitoring instrument that has an enunciator light for shock cooling. I have it set to go off (as recommended) at faster cooling than 1 degree per 3 seconds. I have found that rate very easy to accomplish! The old rule of "don't descend with less that 15" of MP" isn't even close in the LNC2, especially if you put the nose down and have a lot of air rushing through. I've tried gear down, gear and flaps, S turns, (not to mention spins) and not much, save the latter, gets you down with any dispatch. I think I've discovered anti-gravity! Yeah, I know, PLAN AHEAD! Seriously, I'd be interested in what combinations of power, etc. others have found most effective Also, any information of how much you can "tickle this dragon" would be useful..
