In response to Ed's queation on receiving dual in the airplane during the first 25-40 hours, unless Charlie knows otherwise I have to say that it is in the gray area, but all the FAA inspectors I've dealt with haven't had any problem with this as long as it was "transitional training", so that the owner could complete the flight test time.
