We use an oil can with a tube that feeds oil from can to brake caliper fitting and pump from bottom up. Air bubbles flow upwards. You'll need to keep an eye on the reservoir level, but you'll know when the air is out by how firm the peddles are when the fitting is closed off.

Works really well.
