I'm in the throes of installing my Skybolt cowl fasteners (adjustable SK-213, if I recall correctly). It's pretty easy, although the fasteners are difficult to engage and disengage with the black adjustment pin still installed. (The innards are free to spin.)
I tried removing the pin on a non-installed receptacle and it was difficult to put the pin back in for subsequent readjustment. (Actually it was difficult to pull the locking ring out with a pick. Once that was accomplished it was easy to reinstall the pin.)
My question is this -- if I adjust it properly now, prior to primer and paint, will I need to redjust them after paint? If not, I'll just set them now and pull out the pins.
Thanks!
