I also agree with Dan. We’re talking about getting
support for $300 after spending upwards of $100k or many times that on our airplanes.
The amount of chatter that has been going on about this, one would think they’re
talking about $3k or $30k support costs. No one likes to spend money
foolishly however resolving just one situation is well worth the $300 one time
charge. It’s a shame that there is such animosity and lack of
support for the factory. Maybe they should take a lesson from Microsoft,
every time you call them there’s a very hefty charge before they even
listen to your problem, of course I hope they don’t do that.
I for one purchased my 360 over a year ago and was more than
happy to pay the $300 to have access to support and to date I’ve received
much more than that in support from them. As good as LML is, it’s
still not enough. The majority of the discussions on the list are on the
IV’s and except few users I’ve not found much support on the list
for my type of airplane. I’m very pleased with the support Lancair
has provided me and would support them all I can so they can be around to help
us all. I wish the rest would feel the same.

Hell
Fire it's only $300!!!! If $300 is that bad, you are in the wrong
place.
For
Lancair, $300 in customer service expense does not go very far. The new
owner will cost the Company well over that just to get half way up to speed
much less the additional liability etc etc.
Give
Joe a break. Running a business is not cheap.
