Several years ago I purchased a LSE Plasma II= I CD Ignition system for my =0AO-320-E2D which used the Hall Effect se= nsor which mounts on one of the mag =0Apads on the rear of the engine.=0A

=0A
I was never able to get the system to work for= very long - seemed to be =0Aaffected by temperature.  Even went to se= e Klaus who put in a new circuit =0Acard in the sensor and even have me a n= ew computer.  Still wouldn't work =0Afor more than a few minutes = at a time, and I ended up taking it =0Aoff after several rewire a= ttempts which resulted in no change, so it was removed =0Aand replaced by t= he magneto - which has been working very well.
=0A

=0A=
The whole deal was pretty disappointing as when the LSE unit was worki= ng it =0Agave me better power (as was evidenced by greater static RPM and b= etter climb =0Arate) with improved fuel consumption.

Am considering my options and have decided to give it one m= ore try, but =0Athis time trying a crank sensor vs the Hall Effect unit.=0A

=0A
Anyone who has one of these systems on their= plane with good luck using the =0Acrank sensor, please advise.

Thanks!
