Turns out that Kelly has been kicking the delivery can down the road by the week and as of this past Friday, they told the Spruce buyer that they were still testing and would not be shipping for another 2 weeks. Spruce has a Sky Tec light weight starter for the IO-550, and a heavier one: 12V versions are C12ST3 and C12ST5. They will make an even swap. Since so many have had problems with the Iskra/adaptor combination, I am assuming there is some degradation in ours. We are anxious to replace the Iskra before there is any further degradation of the starter adaptor. I am looking for any commentary on the Sky Tecs mounted on the IO-550 or TSIO-550. Good experience? Bad experience? Thanks in advance, John Schroeder Lancair ES - 338 hours.
