After landing, the unit would not power up. I don't know about the EPI-800, but you reset the VM1000 by holding certain buttons and then powering it up. The instructions are in the VM user manual. I replaced the battery about 7 years ago. Does anyone know what the indications are of the battery needing replacement? On the EPI-800, the tach hours goes to zero with this replacement. I think that that is all that is reset. Vision Micro sent me a piece of equipment that I could reset the tach hours with. I sent it back when I was finished. Does anyone have or know about this piece of equipment? Lorn > From: "bucky" > Date: May 18, 2010 3:57:43 PM EDT > > It is a battery/clock chip p/n M48T02-200PC1 FROM Digi-Key.
