Lorn,
The symptoms that I've noticed in my VM1000 are (1)that is won't accept
fuel amounts into the totalizer and (2) the tach looses "total time".
When replacing the battery you have to re-program the aircraft time and
re-enter the aircrafts fuel capacity (it defaults to zero).

I have an EPI-800. I replaced the battery about 7 years ago.
Does anyone know what the indications are of the battery needing
replacement?
On the EPI-800, the tach hours goes to zero with this replacement. I
think that that is all that is reset. Vision Micro sent me a piece of
equipment that I could reset the tach hours with. I sent it back when I
was finished. Does anyone have or know about this piece of equipment?
