That is a bloody= great idea! Never thought of the Walmart Avn dept.  Right now I am ju= st interested in getting the plane to the DAR.  I know I am going to h= ave to play with the light arrangement later but this is a cheap way to tes= t a few ideas.  I know the 'OEM' units are marginal at best and pe= ople end up going to the wing tip style for the higher output

Subject: [LML] Wanted - 320/360 L= anding Lights

I used a $15 pair of driving lights from the av= iation department at Walmart.
They fit just behind the main gear folding= link. A Adel cable clamp (3/4" ?)
mounts them conveniently to the tubes= on the landing gear leg.
I've seen similar lamps and mounting on severa= l LNC2s. Photo is attached,
but shows the fixture incorrectly positioned= .

The bulbs don't last very long, so I buy a couple of sets of light= s at a time.
The complete fixtures are cheaper than the replacement bulb= s and come with the
connector for easy replacement.

Note that the= se are landing/taxi lights only, as they are not visible with the
gear retracted. Also, you may consider an= interlock or procedure to ensure
that you don't leave the lights on wit= h the gear retracted. Might get
pretty hot in there.
