Any thoughts on any of these issues? I've been flying the 360 since 2001 and I put the date the problem started in parentheses): 1. Leaning mode (never worked since day one). Pushing the button to go into the leaning mode has never functioned. Just doesn't do anything. 2. Amps (February 2010). I've noticed the amp-meter bouncing around. It used to be fairly steady in the 18-20 amps range, but now it is more like 16 for a while, then bounces to 26 or something. It's not related to landing lights, radio com, fuel transfer pumps, or any evident change in load. The alternator (B&C) is about 6 years old and the belt is, according to the A&P, okay but could stand to be a bit tighter. Voltage regulator is B&C too. 3. AutoTrack (March 2010). Just stopped working. Pushing the button for AutoTrack now does nothing. 4. Fuel Remaining (May 2010). Unable to add fuel to the tank. I can cycle to the "add fuel" point and then push buttons to add 10 gal units or 1 gal units - both register as "to be added". But then when I push the button to cycle out of the "Add" mode it doesn't register the "add". So it always indicates zero fuel now and I can't add any!!! I've tried all sorts of amounts but nothing will work. It's been like this for 4 flights now. this is the straw that broke the camels back. I need to get this fixed now. NOTE: I do still have a header tank gauge and separate totalizers on each wing. I am NOT flying without knowing my fuel quantity. this is just another check. Any help would be appreciated, including tips on how to get in touch with VM. Matt,

There is an internal battery in the VM1000 that needs to be replaced periodically. VM says about every 7 years or so, I think. Have = you ever replaced this battery? If not, this would be the obvious first = step.

My VM1000 has always been a bit of problem, but now the = problems have increased and I need to resolve them.  Any thoughts on any of = these issues?  I’ve been flying the 360 since 2001 and I put the = date the problem started in parentheses):

1.     &nb= sp; Leaning mode (never worked since day one).  Pushing the button to go into = the leaning mode has never functioned.  Just doesn’t do anything. =

2.     &nb= sp; Amps (February 2010).  I’ve noticed the amp-meter bouncing = around.  It used to be fairly steady in the 18-20 amps range, but now it is more = like 16 for a while, then bounces to 26 or something.  It’s not = related to landing lights, radio com, fuel transfer pumps, or any evident change in = load.  The alternator (B&C) is about 6 years old and the belt is, according = to the A&P, okay but could stand to be a bit tighter.  Voltage = regulator is B&C too.

3.     &nb= sp; AutoTrack (March 2010).  Just stopped working.  Pushing the button for AutoTrack now does nothing.
