Kyrilian, the photo below is of my solution to the Legacy’s floor mounted adjustable rudder pedals problems…  Note that in this photo the rudder cables are only temporarily installed and the polyethylene tubing normally in the cable “S-Tubes” is not installed.  Click on the photo for more info.

Subject: [LML] Legacy Rudder Pedal Springs

 

There have been countless discussions in the past regarding Legacy rudder stiffness, most dealing with how to reduce friction between the cable and and tube.  As I put my adjustable pedals together I wonder if the included springs may also contribute to excess stiffness.  They seem stiffer than necessary.

Has anyone come up with an alternative to the included springs?  I think someone mentioned removing the springs altogether, but I'm concerned that this will allow them to flop aft, especially on the copilot side.  Any ideas?  Anyone find a source for weaker springs?
