Kyrilian,

I have the pedals on both pilot and copilot side and removed the springs on they copilot side as recommended by Justin at Lancair.

The rudders are still a bit stiff, but acceptable. The pedals flopping aft is not really an issue.

Not the best fix, but that is my experience.

You could also replace them with  a set from Starflight:

There have been countless discussions in the past regarding Legacy rudder stiffness, most dealing with how to reduce friction between the cable and and tube.  As I put my adjustable pedals together I wonder if the included springs may also contribute to excess stiffness.  They seem stiffer than necessary.

Has anyone come up with an alternative to the included springs?  I think someone mentioned removing the springs altogether, but I'm concerned that this will allow them to flop aft, especially on the copilot side.  Any ideas?  Anyone find a source for weaker springs?

 Thanks,
- Kyrilian
