First, maintain that nose downlock link.  The new link from Lancair is very
straight on top when installed.
 Mine had worn and stretched so as to go more "overcenter" than that.
 
 Second, Be careful with gusty winds.  The FAA guy suggested programming phone
numbers for automated wx services at your usual airports into your cell.
 
 Be especially careful when going to forsaken places like Nantucket Island
where winds can be shifty and there is not even a mechanic on the field.
