I've been reading with great interest the discussion on engines, especially
since I'm truly a "gear head" at heart. I too believe that the jet
fuel-burning diesels may be the optimal solution in the long term. What
about the TCM "GAP Project" diesel (200 hp turbo, 2-stroke four)? I was
sort of hoping that it would be an option for the Legacy, but my
understanding is that it probably won't be ready in the timeframe needed.
Having a diesel tractor used to bush hog the "north forty", I've painfully
learned how intolerant diesels are to even miniscule amounts of water. I'm
wondering how this problem/issue will be handled/resolved ...???
Anybody care to comment?
Dana Westphal (L2K, maybe I should switch to the DOW?)
