I did some checking with the local plating shops and was told that there
are 2 basic types of aluminum anodizing, type I and type II. The type I is
more substantial but you have no control over the color (the aluminum parts
in the kits that are gold in color are type I anodized, I think). I was
told that type II is more for cosmetic purposes and gives you all the color
choices, but not as good for corrosion protection. I was also told that
2024 and 6061 will accept the colors differently, i.e., they will not be
the same shade.

Does anyone have any experience with the EZE Instruments digital g_meter? I
ordered one from Chief on July 13, over 9 weeks ago. I find customer
service poor at Chief Aircraft. They don't seem to be able to tell me when
I can expect delivery or why there is such a long delay in filling the
order. If you have used it, does it work well and are you happy with it?
