I felt kind of bad making a slight joke of the situation, but after hearing
that there were no injuries and with the previous peel ply comments to the
list, I figured what the heck. I hope the reports were wrong that the pilot
"stated the gear fell off" prior to landing. There are an awful lot of
houses around SAT. I'd hate to be eating dinner and have a nose wheel and
the associated steel tubing smash through the roof of my house.
