I tried a nice white tape to bridge the stub-to-wing gap. However, it
stretched, bowing in at the LE and took paint with it when I removed it.
(not good!)
I have seen tape as well as a rubberized "T" weather-stripping used for
the gap. (I've not found anything with a thin enough base for the "T".)
What have people used that has been satisfactory?
