Small plane makes emergency landing

A small plane made an emergency landing at San Antonio International Airport
this afternoon after experiencing problems with its landing gear.
The plane's pilot made a distress call shortly after 4 p.m. saying the
plane's nose gear had fallen off as he was coming in for a landing.
The pilot, a man in his 60s who had apparently built the plane from a kit,
was able to control the plane and land safely, according to airport
officials. He was the only one onboard and was not injured in the incident.
The incident closed down one of the main runways at the airport for about 20
minutes.
