The media didn't identify the make of experimental but from the footage it sure looked like a Lancair (either lV or the 2 place). The anchor stated that apparently the "nose gear fell off." Also stated the pilot who is retired was uninjured. They had footage of the plane being towed by a tug and it did not appear to have sustained major damage although they did say the runway was closed for twenty minutes. Does anyone have any more information? I will try to see additional footage at 10:00 and see if I can get the N number. (hope the peel ply wasn't left on the gear) Michael J.
