A couple of years ago Lancair changed the tabs on the torque tubes to the down position. I suppose some customers were complaining that the crossover tube was interfering with some of their instruments. Adjust the angle of the torque tubes to 10.5 or 11 degrees instead of the 10 degrees the manual calls for. My crossover tube is approximately 1" above the top of the nose gear tunnel and above the bottom of the instrument panel. It should workout OK.
