Hello Everybody

Our fuel supplier at Hidden Lake Airport, Hiller Group (Chevron) has
started an aviation parts auction site. It is geared more to FBO's than
us airplane types, but who knows?
Maybe you can buy and sell stuff there. Thought that I would post it
here if anybody was interested. Following is message sent to me:

Dear Friends:

Myself and a small group of aviation professionals identified a need in
aviation for an auction service, much like ebay.  Attached is a letter
that
I recently sent out announcing the new website which officially opens
for
business May 7th.  I would appreciate any input from you and trust the
site
is something you will find useful.

Re:          New Website to Buy, Sell, and Auction Aviation Equipment

I am part of a group of aviation professionals who have launched
www.equipmentforairports.com, a Web Auction Site geared to FBO’s and the
General
Aviation Marketplace.

This new auction website will encompass more than just auctions.  The
user will also have access to online parts ordering from Garsite and
other leading
manufacturers.  The auction site will be officially open May 9th, with a
grand debut at the AS3 show in Tampa.

The auction site works just like ebay; the customer registers to the
site and is assigned a user ID that is confirmed through e-mail.  Once
the customer
signs in, he or she can post as many items for auction as they wish.
When an item sells, the Seller is automatically notified with buyer
information and a
final sales price. The site allows the Seller to set a minimum
confidential “reserve price”.  There is no need to worry about
advertising costs or selling for
less than one wants.  If the minimum price is not met, the item will not
be sold.  It is that simple.

There is no fee for listing items.  For items that sell,
www.equipmentforairports.com charges a 3% fee  (based on the sales
price) for items under $ 1000,
and 2% fee for items over $ 1000.  All commissions on sales are billed
to the Sellers credit card.   There is also an escrow service available
for the protection
of both buyer and seller.

Imagine no longer having to advertise in publications to sell stale
inventory or used ground support equipment.  Look at the site and start
posting!  You
might find something you want to bid on while you are there.

Sincerely,
Martin H. Hiller
President
