Being stupid enough to leave the peel ply on the parts to be joined,
structurally, is just another of her methods.

As an aside, I don't think I'd let someone else remove the stuff on an
airplane I was going to ride in - because I don't trust anyone else to save
my butt. It's a nasty job, but I'd rather do it to be sure it was done. Only
one person's humble opinion. Of course, I do feel sorry for the second
owners - guess they have to know their builders.
