Oops … I forget to ask what is the
cost for a professional painter to do a paint job that includes, priming, sealer,
paint and clear coat? 2 colors (white with red stripe). WAG is welcome and this
is only for the painting, no body work needed. We just did that.
Thanks,
Jim

Subject: Question
A friend has a just completed the structure
of a 320. Has flown off the hours. Has used roll-on primer all over. Now has
the need to fill and sand. I know … that’s not the correct sequence.
Nevertheless, he has a partially primed airframe, still has a lot of holes /
pinholes that need filled/sanded, still has lots of areas that need to be
leveled, built up, filled in and the list goes on. The underside is in pretty
good – ready to prime – condition so that’s not to be
considered. It’s in a condition of built but needs filled and sanded
except for the bottom. See the picture above to get a feel for its condition.
The tail has not been filled/sanded either.
Can someone give me an idea of the time (hours) needed to get it into
“ready to prime” condition? I know you don’t know the
specifics, but a WAG would suffice.
Jim
