I’m afraid I’ll need to wait to put my Lancair in
the air for the first time because I found a leak problem at the governor. At
1800 RPM 18in MP only a few very small drops but at 1800 RPM 24 in it starts to
be a mess and a fire question. Had anyone faced this problem? I’m talking
with Lancair, that sold the part with the engine but they don’t know yet
how McCauley will see the problem as it was sold ten years ago. It seems to be
a casting defect. I’ll post some photos. Thanks.
