I had the same experience as Colyn with Jet Hot on my first exhaust.  Slip joints not only leaked afterwards, but a couple of pipes came back slightly oval in shape and couldn't be fit back together until I went to a shop and had the pipes rounded back out.  It didn't take much time to see that the joints were discoloring from leaked exhaust.  I finally gave up and had whole new one fabricated, which was not cheap.

I took the new exhaust to a local shop and had a 2000 degree Olympic coating put on.  No problems since.
