The big numbers are required for re-entry to the US.
The old elt is legal but a portable 406 with GPS reporting is smart.
Radio station license is not required for Bahamas.

| Thanks for the info on flying to the Bahamas. I've been considering maying a trip there also. It's a bit far from the West Coast, but I want to try it at least once.
A couple of more questions for those of you who have done it before. Are 12-inch n-numbers required? Can we still get by with the old ELT, and is a radio station license required?
Has anyone stayed at Sammy T's on Cat Island and how did you like it?
