Lorn,
I have had the problem develop in the hangar too. (and at a fly in)
Whenever I preflight, I check that the gear pump will run and develop down
pressure on the ground before taxi. If not, I keep two wrenches in the
glove box to crack a hydraulic line with.
This works for me.
