Hello Rod,
I would be interested in your heater design also.
I'd appreciate knowing how the prototype works out.

Heating?
Valin,
Yes the stock heater is a joke, but not
funny. Ron and I are working on a new manifold heater that should at
least double the output within virtually the same envelope. I just
completed the CAD design and we will prototype it soon. I will call
you next week to describe it off-line.

Subject: [LML] Legacy Cabin
Heating?
Hello,
I’ve
heard some people say they don’t get enough heat from their Legacy’s cabin
heat engine muff system. We’ve got a Legacy heat muff kit on order and
notice in the manual that the ducting is 1.5” diameter where, from searching
the internet, it looks like 2” ducting is typical in our class of
aircraft.
Could I
get some feedback from the Legacy community on how your cabin heat system is
working and if anyone has used something other than the Lancair kit for
their heat, what was used, and how it worked
out…?
I
know… You’d expect this question in January rather than August…
J
Thanks,
Valin
