Valin -

Heat?  In Houston?  When I saw you earlier this month at that NASA meeting you ran, I thought I was gonna melt!  You could use a soda straw and have enough heat down there!

Seriously, though, I have been concerned about 1.5 inch heating ducts as well.  Not due to insufficient heating, but common parts (stainless firewall valves, Tees and Wyes) are darn near impossible to find in 1.5 inch but readily available in 2 inch.  So consider that as well.

I just looked over Dan Olsen's 320 a couple of months ago.  He has 1.5 inch hating tubing and says he barely cracks it open and he's got plenty of heat.  He lives in Colorado.

Me, I'm still building so I cannot give you first hand data.

- Rob Wolf

p.s.  If anyone knows where to get a Tee fitting for 1.5 inch SCAT tubing please let me know.  I have the Lancair 1.5 inch firewall valve installed but want to send some heat over to the other footwell.  In fact, a reducer from 1.5 inch to 1 inch, and a 1 inch Tee might be a better answer.  Anyone know where to find these puppies?
