Tim--I fly my 360 on trips at 1800 to 1825 and have never had a problem.  All controls  act the same and take off perfermance is 100 to 200 feet longer.  I have the outback gear--The limits I have set for myself are that a runway must be 3000 ft grass and 2500 ft paved for safe operation.

What is the gross weight for the Lancair 360 with outback gear?

The grossweight for ALL 320/360 models, MKII, outback gear and other mods included, was originally 1685 lbs.

Lancair later approved a MTOW of 1790 lbs., but still with a max. landing weight of 1685 lbs.

I asked Ross (at Lancair) if 1800 lbs. would be acceptable, the answer was a firm NO.
